Meet the All Around Roofing Team
At All Around Roofing, we're proud to be a small, locally owned company where the people you meet are the people who are actually involved in your project. When you hire a large roofing company, it can sometimes feel like you're dealing with a different person at every stage of the process a salesperson for the estimate, an office for scheduling and a crew you've never met for the actual work. That's not how we operate.
We're a hands-on company. The owner is directly involved in the day-to-day operation of the business and works alongside the crew on projects throughout Kingston and the surrounding area. We believe that's one of the things that makes a small local company different. You get to know the people working on your home, and we get to take pride in the work we're putting our name on.
Our team brings years of combined experience across roofing and exterior renovations, including shingle roofing, metal roofing, flat roofing, siding, soffit and fascia, seamless eavestrough and other exterior finishing work. We're not trying to be the biggest roofing company around. We're focused on building a company we're proud of, doing quality work for homeowners in our community and creating a team that takes the same pride in the trades that we do.
When you hire All Around Roofing, you're hiring a local team — not a revolving door of subcontractors.
Tim Hughes — Owner & Lead Installer
Tim is the owner and driving force behind All Around Roofing. His career in the roofing trade started right here in Kingston, beginning as a labourer and working his way up through the trade to become an installer, foreman and team leader. Over the years, Tim has gained hands-on experience across a wide range of roofing and exterior renovation projects. From shingle and metal roofing to flat roofing, soffit, fascia, siding, eavestrough and detailed exterior finishing, he has worked on virtually every aspect of the trade. Tim's approach to the business is simple: if you're going to put your name on something, you should be proud of the work. That's why Tim remains directly involved in projects rather than simply running the business from behind a desk. He works alongside the crew, helps oversee installations and stays involved from the initial estimate through to the completion of the project. For Tim, All Around Roofing isn't about becoming the biggest company in town. It's about building a local company with a reputation for quality work, honest communication and treating homeowners fairly.
Nicole / Nikki — Tim's Wife — The Looks & The Books
You may not see Nikki up on the roof every day, but you’ll definitely see her fingerprints all over the business. As Tim’s wife and an important part of the All Around Roofing team, Nikki helps keep the business running behind the scenes — from bookkeeping and administration to customer communication, marketing, scheduling and keeping everything organized. While Tim is usually the one out in the field getting his hands dirty, Nikki is the one making sure the other side of the business keeps moving. She helps manage the paperwork, keeps track of the books, helps coordinate the day-to-day details and works on the company's website, social media and marketing. Basically, Tim handles the roofs and Nikki handles everything that happens when he's not on one. She's also the person behind the scenes making sure All Around Roofing looks as good online as the work looks in person — hence “The Looks & The Books.” Together, Tim and Nikki are building All Around Roofing as a family-owned, local company where the business is personal and the people behind it genuinely care about the community they're serving.
One runs the crew. One runs the paperwork. Both have opinions. Strong Opinions
Nevaeh — Daughter - Labourer — The Reason We Work So Hard
Nevaeh is Tim and Nikki's daughter and one of the youngest members of the All Around Roofing family. She loves getting the opportunity to work alongside her dad and be part of something her family has built together.Nevaeh is also a young woman who has never allowed the challenges she's faced to define what she is capable of.Nevaeh was born with mild hemiplegic cerebral palsy, which affects one side of her body. She also lives with epilepsy and is legally blind due to the effects of her cerebral palsy and peripheral vision loss.None of that has stopped her.Nevaeh is an example of resilience, perseverance and refusing to let circumstances — or other people's expectations — decide what you can accomplish.Whether she's at home, at work or doing the things she loves, Nevaeh continues to push forward, adapt and find a way to do what she sets her mind to. She doesn't expect things to always be easy, but she doesn't let difficult things become a reason to give up.Being a young woman working in the trades already means stepping outside the expectations that some people have.
Doing it while navigating the additional challenges Nevaeh faces makes her accomplishments that much more meaningful to us.One of the things she enjoys most is getting to work alongside her dad, Tim. There's something pretty special about watching a father and daughter work together — especially when you know how hard she has worked to get there. We're incredibly proud of the person Nevaeh is becoming and the determination she brings to everything she does. She reminds us every day that you don't have to have an easy path to build an incredible life. You just have to keep moving forward. That's why we work so hard. We're not just building roofs. We're building a future for our family.
Norm - Childhood Best Friend - Roofing Labourer
Norm is more than just a member of the All Around Roofing crew — he's been part of Tim's life since childhood. Having grown up together, their friendship goes back long before All Around Roofing ever existed. Today, that lifelong friendship has turned into working alongside each other in the roofing trade. Norm brings a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and a genuine commitment to helping the crew get the job done right. Working with someone you've known for most of your life is a little different. There's already a level of trust, familiarity and understanding that you don't get with just anyone. Tim and Norm know each other's personalities, strengths and quirks — which can make for plenty of laughs on the jobsite, too. Norm is the kind of person who doesn't need to be the centre of attention. He shows up, works hard, helps wherever he's needed and gets the job done. We're proud to have him as part of the All Around Roofing crew and even more proud that a childhood friendship has grown into something we get to continue building together.
From childhood friends to roofing partners some friendships are built to last.
Brody - New Hire - Roofing Labourer - Junior Installer
Brody is the newest member of the All Around Roofing team and we're excited to have him on board. He comes to us with previous roofing experience, including labouring and shingling, as well as experience climbing cell towers. He's eager to continue developing his skills, advance his career in the trades and work toward becoming a skilled roofing installer. Brody is hardworking, goal-oriented and well-mannered, with a strong desire to learn and improve. As a father of two young children, he's motivated to build a career and create a future for his family. We're excited to watch Brody grow with the company, develop his skills and see what he can accomplish in this position. We're looking forward to having him as part of the All Around Roofing crew for years to come.
