Metal Roofing Options:
Exposed Fastener Metal Roofing
Exposed fastener metal roofing is a practical and cost-effective metal roofing option. The metal panels are secured directly to the roof structure with exposed fasteners and can provide excellent durability and weather protection when properly installed. This system is available in a variety of colours and profiles and is a popular choice for homeowners looking for the benefits of metal roofing at a more accessible price point.
Hidden Fastener & Snap-Lock Systems
Hidden fastener systems provide a cleaner, more streamlined appearance by concealing the fasteners beneath or within the panel system. Snap-lock panels are designed to mechanically interlock, creating a distinctive standing-seam appearance while reducing the number of exposed components on the finished roof.
Standing Seam Metal Roofing
Standing seam roofing offers a clean, modern appearance with vertically raised seams and concealed fastening. It is a premium metal roofing option that can provide excellent longevity and weather resistance when properly specified and installed.
Metal Shingles
Metal shingles combine many of the benefits of metal roofing with a more traditional shingle-style appearance. They are available in a variety of profiles and finishes and can be an option for homeowners who want the durability of metal while maintaining a familiar residential look. We'll help you understand the differences between the available systems and choose an option that makes sense for your home, your preferences and your budget

Our Metal Roofing Installation Process
1. Complete Tear-Off & Roof Deck Inspection
When a full metal roof replacement is required, we remove the existing roofing materials down to the roof decking. This allows us to properly inspect the roof deck rather than installing a new roofing system over materials we haven't been able to assess. Any damaged, deteriorated or otherwise compromised decking is addressed before the new roofing system is installed.
2. Premium Platinum Synthetic Underlayment
Once the decking has been inspected and prepared, we install Platinum synthetic underlayment as part of the roofing system. Platinum is a premium synthetic underlayment designed to provide an additional layer of protection between the roof deck and the finished metal roofing. Platinum synthetics are the highest grade of underlayment available on the market, and worth every penny.
3. Cap-Nailed Underlayment
We secure the Platinum synthetic underlayment using cap nails rather than relying on basic staples. While staples are acceptable when applying most roofs prep and accepted by many warranty specifications, we like to go the extra mile with the added protection of cap nails. The larger cap helps distribute the fastening pressure over a wider area of the underlayment and helps reduce the risk of tearing around the fastener.
4. Wood Strapping
Where the metal roofing system calls for it, we install properly positioned wood strapping over the prepared roof surface. The strapping provides a solid, consistent base for fastening the metal panels and helps create the appropriate installation surface for the roofing system.
5. Metal Roofing Installation
Once the preparation is complete, the metal roofing is installed using the appropriate fastening and installation techniques for the specific metal roofing system being used. Careful attention is given to panel alignment, fasteners, overlaps, closures, flashing and other critical details to help create a durable, weather-resistant finished roof.
6. Flashing, Ventilation & Finishing Details
Proper installation goes beyond the metal panels themselves. We address roof penetrations, valleys, edges, vents, flashing, closures and other areas where water could potentially enter the roofing system. Proper ventilation is also considered as part of the overall roofing system.
7. Final Inspection & Cleanup
Once installation is complete, we inspect the finished roof and its details, make sure the installation has been completed properly and clean up the work area. We don't consider the job completed until the property has been thoroughly cleaned, nail raked, and eavestroughs are clear of debris.
